Tecumseh

So much vert, so little time

Hiking

Rye, Cody, and Doug on the summit of Mount Tecumseh

Mount Tecumseh is a short but tough hike up a well-trafficked ski mountain. The parking lot was full of skiers, but we had enough of Mount Tecumseh Trail to ourselves. The first mile meanders through the forest gently, while the next mile and a half is a steep calf-burner, ever up and up and up… When you finally think you’ve reached the top and the trail flattens out a bit, there’s still more up after Sossman Trail joins it before the short loop up to the summit.

We had some decent views of the Tripyramids from the windy summit. Then we quick-stepped it all the way down in time for brunch. Short and sweet day, and a new peak for Doug and Rye!
